5 Great Ways to Play with the Rainbow Transport Pack

Get ready to roll into a new world of wheeled creations with the CONNETIX Transport Pack!

The CONNETIX Transport Pack is loaded with everything you need to build endless epic vehicle creations. It includes a reversible grey transport base that is bigger and longer than the motion bases and is exclusive to this pack! In this blog I’ll be sharing five fun build ideas to inspire. The first three use ONLY the pieces found in the CONNETIX Transport Pack. For the last two ideas, I’ll show you just how amazing the grey transport base is by incorporating a few extra magnetic tiles from other packs.

1. Stabilise Aircrafts

Helicopters, aeroplanes and other aircrafts made with magnetic tiles can be precarious on their own when picked up and moved around in play. Adding a CONNETIX transport or motion base is a great way to add stability to your CONNETIX aircraft, making it more durable and easier to pick up or roll along a surface. You can build a truck on another motion base and connect it to the base of your aircraft to transform your design into a semi-trailer. Not into aircrafts? Use your semi-trailer to transport anything you like (e.g. loose parts, matchbox cars or animal figurines are great alternatives).

2. Role Play with an Ice Cream Truck

Create your own ice cream truck and add some figurines for some fun imaginary role play. Enjoy selling ice cream, buying ice cream, just missing the ice cream truck as it drives past your house, singing ice cream songs, driving around an imaginary neighbourhood and so much more.

3. Make a Monster on Wheels

The transport pack isn’t just for vehicles, get creative and design a monster on wheels. Attach some string to the motion/transport base and take your pet monster for a walk. Don’t forget to feed your monster too! What will your monster eat?

Tip: You can add details to your monster by using chalk markers. Chalk markers easily wipe off with a damp cloth. Always test your markers before use and never immerse your tiles in water.

4. Design Big Trucks

The grey transport base is excellent for big truck designs. You can make some pretty awesome trucks using pieces only found in the transport pack. However, you’ll be able to level up your truck designs by adding a few extra tiles from other packs. We were able to bring a fire truck, garbage truck and a dump truck to life by adding extra tiles found in other packs from the CONNETIX range (e.g. the CONNETIX 102 Piece Rainbow Creative Pack and the CONNETIX 212 Piece Rainbow Mega Pack).

5. Build a Boat

My kids love having imaginary adventures with boats. They love pretending to travel on land with their boat on a trailer, back the trailer into car parks or water, take the boat on and off the trailer, pack their boat with treasures and travel across oceans to distant islands, the list goes on. Combining the grey transport base with the new rectangles from the CONNETIX Rectangle Packs makes all this play possible. It’s been a game changer! Increased stability results in less time rebuilding and more time playing!
