Motor neurone disease (MND), also known as Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) and Lou Gehrig’s disease, is a devastating and progressive disease, a Beast that takes away both the duration and the quality of a person’s life. More than 2700 Australians are living with MND, with no known cure or cause, and an average life expectancy from diagnosis of only 27 months.

FightMND is a powerful people movement, rallying together to fund vital global research, drive awareness and improve treatments to support those affected by MND. Through collective community impact, the FightMND Army have made groundbreaking discoveries and continue to fight relentlessly towards finding a cure.

Three years ago, I lost my beautiful mum to this horrible disease after an 18-month battle.
